Light, moisture-retentive but airy mix (add coco coir and perlite). Feed monthly spring–summer.

Variation Notes

  • Warscewiczii likes extra humidity and stable warmth.

  • Makoyana/Beauty Star show leaf edge browning first when humidity is low or flouride in tap water is present (typical for Bay Area tap water).

  • Maranta Lemon Lime/Red are slightly more forgiving than most calatheas.
