Light
Bright, indirect to medium light. Avoid harsh direct sun which can scorch leaves. Lower light is tolerated but color softens and growth slows.

Water
Keep evenly moist, don’t let the pot fully dry. Let the top inch of soil dry, then water thoroughly and drain. They “faint” dramatically when thirsty but usually perk up after a good soak.

Humidity & Temperature
Loves humidity (50–70% ideal). Great for bathrooms, terrariums, or near a humidifier. 65–80°F and protect from cold drafts.

Soil & Fertilizing
Airy mix (indoor potting soil + perlite). Feed lightly every 4–6 weeks in spring-summer. Little to no feeding in fall-winter.

Pet Safety
Pet safe.

Native Region
Amazon rainforest (Peru and surrounding regions).

Fun Fact
Fittonia has a dramatic “wilt act” when thirsty, give it water, and it can revive within hours.
