Shipping: We ship Monday through Wednesday so your plant never sits in a warehouse over the weekend. When it's cold out, we add a heat pack to keep it warm on the way, and if the weather is too extreme, we'll hold your order until it's safe to ship. If your plant arrives damaged or doesn't make it within 30 days, email photos to hello@raizplants.com and we'll either replace it or give you store credit.
Pickup: Choose pickup at checkout and grab your order at our shop, 3832 MacArthur Blvd in Oakland. We'll email you when it's ready, usually within 2 to 4 days. Please pick up within 7 days. Shop hours are Tuesday to Friday 11am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 7pm.

Across the tropical Americas, Calathea leaves have been used for generations to weave baskets, wrap tamales, and carry fresh fish. In Guatemala the maxán leaf still wraps tamales today, and the plant’s leaves fold up each night like hands in prayer.

We ship orders Monday through Wednesday to ensure your plants don’t sit in a warehouse over the weekend. Orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days, with delivery taking 4–7 business days depending on your location. Need it sooner? Expedited shipping options are available, reach out with any questions.
